SilvAlga began with a personal decision: to leave a stable career in banking and return to the family business, with a desire to explore a new direction.
Building on the previous generation’s experience, our founder wanted to discover how materials and textile innovation could bring greater comfort to the things we use closest to our skin.
Twelve Years of Learning
That decision led to twelve years of exploration, persistence and learning. Along the way came both progress and setbacks—and a deeper appreciation for the family and friends whose support made the journey possible.

Our interest in seaweed-based materials and silver fibre reflects the idea at the heart of SilvAlga: inspiration from nature, developed through textile innovation.
From socks to grounding sheets, we explore how different fibres can work together to balance softness, breathability and practical function. Our grounding sheets bring silver fibre, seaweed charcoal fibre and organic cotton together in a fabric designed for everyday rest.
