What is a grounding sheet?
A grounding sheet is a conductive bed sheet designed to connect to the earth through the earth connection of a properly grounded electrical outlet. It creates a grounding connection while you sleep or rest without drawing electrical power from the outlet.
What is seaweed charcoal fibre?
Seaweed charcoal fibre begins with naturally sourced seaweed such as kelp and sargassum. Through a specialised high-temperature process, the seaweed is transformed into a fine carbon-rich material and integrated with other textile fibres.
The resulting fibre contributes to the sheet’s conductive and antistatic properties while helping create a breathable and naturally comfortable sleep surface.
Is the silver applied as a surface coating?
No. Our silver fibre is produced using magnetron sputtering technology, which drives metallic silver into the fibre structure and bonds the two together.
Unlike a temporary surface treatment, the silver does not simply wash away during normal washing, helping provide stable and lasting conductive performance. Following the care instructions will help protect the fabric over time.
How does the grounding sheet work?
The supplied cord connects the sheet to the earth connection of a properly grounded outlet, creating a conductive pathway between the sheet and the earth.
The cord does not draw electrical power from the outlet. The sheet is a passive textile product and does not require electricity, batteries or charging.
How do I set up the sheet?
Place the sheet across your mattress and position it where your skin can make regular contact with the fabric. Connect the grounding cord to the sheet’s connection point, then insert the grounding plug into a properly grounded Australian outlet.
Does my skin need to touch the sheet?
Direct skin contact provides the most effective conductive connection. Your hands, arms, legs or feet can make contact with the sheet while you sleep or rest.
Can I use the sheet without connecting the grounding cord?
Yes. The sheet can still be used as a soft and breathable bed sheet, but its grounding function requires the supplied cord to be connected correctly to a properly grounded outlet.
What is included with my order?
Each grounding sheet includes a grounding cord and an Australian-compatible grounding plug. The exact contents are also shown on the relevant product page.
How can I check whether my outlet is properly grounded?
If you are uncertain, use a suitable outlet tester or ask a licensed electrician to check the outlet. Do not use the grounding function with an outlet that is damaged or incorrectly wired.
How should I wash the grounding sheet?
Disconnect and remove the grounding cord before washing. Use a mild, neutral detergent and select a gentle wash cycle.
Do not use bleach, fabric softener or strong acidic or alkaline cleaning products, as these may damage the fabric and affect its conductive performance.
Can I tumble dry the sheet?
Air drying in the shade is recommended. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
If tumble drying is necessary, use a low-temperature setting no higher than 40°C.
How quickly will I notice a difference?
Individual experiences vary. Some people may notice a difference sooner than others, while some may not notice a specific change.
